After a blisteringly good semifinal round (appropriately split by a charming set by Chicago's J W Baz), 8 poets were chosen in a tight slam to proceed to the finals. The actual scores themselves have been held up at customs, so for now here's an alphabetical roster of our finalists for April 26 at the storied Hugh's Room:
Amanda
Arianna
Gypsy Eyes
Jogi
Krystle
Truth Is...
White Noise Machine
Ziy
I know, I know, it's as if reading a list of names was somehow equivalent to receiving oral sex from awesomeness. Throw in April's guest feature, Vancouver's harmonica beatbox minstrel C.R. Avery, and you've got one hell of a show to look forward to.
Sadly the whittling must begin in earnest, so only those 8 move on, but we owe everyone who performed in the semis thanks for bringing their truth and power to the stage. There were only high points tonight.
See you in April.

Actually arson, like most indictable offenses, is technically considered to be a prop.
